Every innovation methodology we encountered assumed the same thing: trade-offs are inevitable. Planet sacrificed for profit. People sacrificed for speed. Progress sacrificed for short-term returns.
After 19 years in automotive innovation and 47 projects across multiple industries, we had evidence that said otherwise. The trade-offs weren't real. They were design failures — built into methodologies that never questioned whether all five dimensions could advance together.
The Evidence That Confirmed It.
Personal observation became documented evidence. We studied 9,607 organisations across 160 industries.
The findings: $1.76 trillion destroyed annually in preventable innovation failures. Six predictable patterns. Four converging world emergencies accelerating the damage.

But the research also revealed something the failure data alone couldn't show. In our own projects, we'd seen that innovation can create comprehensive value across all five ESG pillars simultaneously — People, Planet, Progress, Prosperity, and Profit strengthening each other by design, not competing for priority.
The value was real. But no system existed to create it deliberately, measure it completely, or make it investable. That's the pattern we recognised — and the gap we set out to close.
🌱 The first time: AHFT Bio-Composites.
Farmers across developing regions were burning crop residue — polluting air, degrading soil, losing money. We valorised that agricultural waste into advanced bio-composite materials. The innovation created value across every dimension: environmental regeneration, rural employment, patented IP, global market access, and commercially competitive manufacturing.
Then we showed investors what we'd built.

Chetakrao spent 19 years engineering innovation inside global OEMs across the UK, Japan, India, and Europe — combining industry practice with academic research through an MA in Product Design Innovation at Coventry University (Distinction & Tutor's Prize). Beginning at a leading Japanese OEM, he built the foresight and research-to-concept capability that IGNITIA's opportunity identification is founded on today.

The Structural Gap That Built IGNITIA
Both projects created measurable value. Both exposed the same structural absence: no deliberate, repeatable system existed for creating innovation value across all five dimensions simultaneously — market desirability, technical readiness, investment viability, time efficiency, and societal impact.
Value was created by instinct, not design. Because it could not be measured completely, it could not reliably be made investable. That gap built IGNITIA.
Value first, profit follows. When value is created completely, measured precisely, and expressed in
a language investors, clients, and policymakers share, commercial outcomes follow naturally.
He holds an equally firm belief that progress must be co-existent and comprehensive — across societies and economies simultaneously, not sequentially.

Chetakrao advocates for neurodiversity in innovation.
